About the Program
CCBC’s 60 hour Industrial Supervisor Certificate Program provides newly promoted foremen and supervisors in manufacturing organizations with a comprehensive overview of quality control, operations, and supervisory principles. Facing new challenges and responsibilities, you will be taught strategies that allow you to become a productive and respected supervisor. Pre- and post-program assessments are conducted to help you track your progress. In addition, you will receive two hours of one-on-one coaching with the instructor of your choice.
Upon completion of the program, graduates can utilize the concepts presented and skills learned to complete day-to-day job tasks, sharpen verbal communication skills, solve both operational and staff related problems, and become a highly valuable member of the management team.

Robert W. Courson II, SPH
Bob Courson is an energetic leader with more than 25 years of experience in high-level global human resources management positions with companies including Carmeuse USA; Calgon Carbon Corporation; Merck & Co., Inc.; Sharon Steel Corporation; and Timken Company. He has a demonstrated record of success in leading organizational change, and in implementing innovative human resources processes and programs that energized and engaged employees. Bob is a graduate of the College of Wooster in Ohio and the University of Pittsburgh's Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business Entrepreneurial Fellows Center. He is an active member of many professional, business, and community organizations, and serves on a number of non-profit Boards of Directors. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Laura M. Magone, MBA
Known for her creative approach to training delivery, Laura Magone has facilitated training programs for clients ranging from entrepreneurial ventures, non-profits and government agencies to Fortune 100 and 500 corporations. Past clients include Cigna, Scalise Industries, MCC International, PNC Bank, Quest Diagnostics, Liberty Mutual Insurance, U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Snyder of Berlin, and Dairy Farmers of America. Specializing in organizational development, operations and management, Laura has trained over 10,000 in areas including but not limited to: leadership, communication skills, delegation, correcting problem performance, coaching, teambuilding, conflict management/resolution, strategic planning, and employee retention. Ms. Magone holds her B.S. in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from Duquesne University. In addition to her work as a consultant and trainer, Laura is an award winning documentary filmmaker and photographer.
