Who were the first Americans and when did they come?
Not a simple question! Yet it turns out that some of the very earliest evidence of people in America was found in a rockshelter not so far from campus, where a stone arrowhead was dropped more than 12,000 radiocarbon years ago.
On March 22nd, Andrew Donovan from Meadowcroft will be here to give us a virtual tour of the Rockshelter demonstrating a new interactive gigapan technology. This virtual tour will be held in room 9104 from 4:30 to 6:00 − pizza included! Then on April 8th we offer a trip to the site itself! Time of the field trip TBA, with an admission fee of $7.
