CCBC AND LOGSTOWN ASSOCIATES HOST 31st ANNUAL NATIVE AMERICAN GATHERING

The 31st Annual Native American Gathering, sponsored as an educational event by Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) and Logstown Associates Historical Society, will be held at the Center Township campus’s Athletics and Events Center (Dome) on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, October 14, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This popular community event is an exciting and informative experience featuring music, dancing, exhibits, seminars, food and craftspeople. Highlights of this year’s gathering will include the following:

  • Dance Competitions
  • Ethnic Foods
  • Traders
  • Children’s Craft Area
  • Native American Dancing and Etiquette 
  • History of Logstown 
  • Demonstrations 
  • Speakers

In attendance will be Head Man Dancer: Earl Heim - Roanoke, Virginia; Head Lady Dancer: Diane Heim - Roanoke, Va.; Head Veteran Dancer: Richard Senegal - Richmond, Va.; Arena Director: Kevin Squire - Pittsburgh, Pa.; M.C.: C. J. Lyons - Mogadore, Ohio; Host Drum: Redbird Singers; and Invited Drum: Thunder Nation.

Admission is $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for veterans and $3.00 for children five to 12 years of age. Children under the age of five are admitted free of charge.
