Ways to Access Your CCBC Email Account
CCBC uses the Microsoft Outlook email system to provide email to students and employees.
Users can access their email account through the following:
Outlook Web Access
Outlook Web is a web-based application that can be accessed from any computing device that supports a compatible web browser. These devices include PCs, tablet computers, iPads, Macintosh computers and Linux computers. Compatible web browsers are Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Safari. Outlook web access is the easiest method to configure and use. Go to this link, https://webmail.ccbc.edu, and login using your CCBC network ID and password.
Smartphones, such as iPhones and those using the Android system, can provide direct access using Microsoft ActiveSync. BlackBerrys do not provide support for ActiveSync. In order to have email access from a smartphone, special configuration is required on the phone.
Please note that Android phones are made by a number of manufacturers so the set-up for the Android operating systems differ in detail. The set-up instructions provided above are typical for Android phones but may not be exactly the same for all devices.
When using Active Sync, your credentials are cached on your smartphone. Email, contacts and calendar information are downloaded to the phone. Please refer to CCBC Procedure 5.03.001.007 - College-Owned Mobile Computing Devices for additional information regarding securing this information.
