Institutional Effectiveness

Institutional effectiveness (IE) is the measure of how well an institution is achieving its overall goals. It answers the question “how well are we collectively doing what we say we are doing?” (Characteristics 54). At CCBC, institutional effectiveness ensures the continuous improvement of academic and non-academic units through outcomes assessment and is designed to permeate every facet of the college: strategic planning, student learning outcomes assessment, and service-department outcomes assessment. Inquiries regarding any of the college's institutional effectiveness processes should be directed to Katie Thomas, Faculty Fellow for Planning, Assessment, and Improvement.
