Using the Library

Your CCBC Library partners with the Beaver County Library System. A library card is required to check out materials. A photo ID or other proof of residence or CCBC student status is required. Please visit the CCBC library or any other Beaver County Library System Library or begin the application online.

The CCBC Library collection consists of approximately 36,000 titles, including fiction, nonfiction, children’s, reference, audiobooks, videos, and DVDs in addition to an abundance of digital resources and databases which can be accessed using your CCBC login or on our library computers for those without CCBC affiliation. There is a wireless network available in the library and throughout campus for personal devices. Users may also borrow one of 24 networked computers running Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2019. These computers are connected to a workstation for printing, scanning, and copying. Printouts are allotted to students according to the number of credits taken that semester.

The Library’s physical collection is organized according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System, which divides all knowledge into ten major groups, and assigns numbers to each of these groups. For example, books on education are given a 370 call number; religion books can be found in the 200s area.

To find out whether the Library carries a specific title – book, video, DVD, or periodical – use B-VR-PAC, the Library’s online public access catalog.
