Your first advising appointment is designed to help you feel clear and confident about what to take, when to take it, and how it all connects to your goals.
What you’ll do in your first advising appointment:
- Talk through your goals (career, transfer, or both)
- Review placement and prerequisites (if needed)
- Confirm your pathway
- Build a first-semester schedule that fits your life
- Leave with a simple next-steps plan for registration
Current Students
Already enrolled? Meet with an Advisor each term. Advisors help you stay on track in your pathway, plan upcoming semesters, and make sure you’re meeting course sequencing requirements.
Your Advisor can help you:
- Choose classes for next semester
- Understand prerequisites and course sequencing
- Review your progress toward graduation
- Plan around your schedule and workload
- Connect coursework to career and/or transfer goals
Career & Transfer Advising
Whether you’re exploring careers, planning to transfer, or both, we can help you choose courses that make sense for where you’re headed.
Career planning support can include:
