Honors Program

Applications for the 2026-2027 Honors Scholarship are now open!

Graduating seniors who are county residents of Beaver County can apply. The Honors Scholarship covers in-county tuition and fees, excluding course-related fees and flight fees. This scholarship is awarded after federal and state funding is distributed. Applications will be accepted up until March 2, 2026.

How to apply: 

1.   Complete the CCBC Application here.

2.   Complete the 2026-2027 FASFA here.

2.   Download and read the paper honors application and brochure here.

3.   Complete an official honors scholarship application. Click here for a paper application or apply online here. 

4.    Submit the following supporting documentation: 

  • High school transcripts/college coursework transcripts and a record of the most recent grades earned in senior year, if not already included in the transcript.  
  • A one-page essay or one-minute video answering the question: “How will your experience as a CCBC Honors Student help you achieve your academic, career, and/or community engagement goals?” 
  • A summary of service, leadership, and involvement in both scholastic and community settings. 
  • A letter of recommendation.  

CCBC Application, FASFA, Honors Scholarship Application, and supporting documents must be received by midnight on March 2, 2026, for consideration. Documents can be emailed to honors@ccbc.edu. A limited number of scholarships are available. Recipients will be notified no later than April 6, 2026, and the scholarship must be formally accepted by May 1, 2026.

The CCBC Honors Program offers an academically challenging and enriching learning experience that enables students to develop their potential as leaders in a complex and culturally diverse society. Honors students are encouraged to participate in learning experiences beyond the classroom and campus. They are expected to engage in meaningful scholarly research that will help them prepare for the next phase of their lives.

PROGRAM BENEFITS

  1. Challenging academic Honors courses with an emphasis on scholarly research that addresses issues impacting global concerns, international perspectives, or intercultural solutions to significant challenges.
  2. Personalized mentorship on personal, academic, and professional goals.
  3. Acknowledgment as a leader on campus and as a representative of CCBC in the community.
  4. Special recognition at CCBC’s commencement ceremony.

EXPECTATIONS

  1. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  2. Complete 6 hours of volunteerism at CCBC-sponsored/hosted events each semester. Honors Scholarship Recipients will complete 12 hours of volunteerism each semester, increasing to 15 hours each semester when an honors course is not taken.
  3. Participate in the annual Titan Research Symposium.
  4. Enroll in and complete at least one honors course per semester/12 total honors credits by the end of your career at CCBC (as your academic history and program of study allow).
