New Student Orientation
Welcome to CCBC!
We are excited to help you Start Strong before your first day of class!
Orientation is required for all students and will be both online and in-person.
3 levels of Starting Strong at CCBC
- On Boarding with College Here & Now
- High School Academy students attend separate onboarding that is required. New Student Orientation is a separate event offered to all CCBC students to help students prepare for their first semester at CCBC.
- Online Orientation – Start Strong
- A message will be sent from the Student Life Team the morning of Friday, August 7 with instructions on how to connect and complete Online Orientation. Online Orientation can be completed at your own pace but is recommended to be completed before the first day of classes.
- In-Person Orientation – Friday, August 21

- High school students: If your home school district has not yet started classes, you are expected to attend the in-person orientation. You may bring one guest.
- Students and guests will be separated when you walk in the door and will meet up later in the day. A full day is planned for both students and guests.
Adult Student Orientation – Tuesday, August 18 (STUDENTS OVER 25 YEARS OLD)

- We understand that you are busy with work and family, so we are offering you options.
- You must attend either the Non-Traditional Orientation on 8/18/2026 or the Full Day Orientation on 8/21/2026.
Who should attend In-Person?
- New CCBC students
- High School Academy students
- High school graduates with college credits
- Adult learners (25 years and older)
- New to college
- Returning after 5+ years
(Note: The online portion also must be completed.)
Are there exceptions?
- High School Students, whose High School begins classes prior to Friday, August 21 are excused from the in-person orientation, but must complete the online orientation.
- Aviation and High School Academy students, who only attend classes outside of Beaver County, are ONLY required to complete the online orientation.
What is Online Orientation?
- Online orientation is a course on Blackboard that will go live Friday, August 7. It is required for ALL students.
- A message will be sent from the Student Life Team on the morning of Friday, August 7 with instructions on how to connect and complete Online Orientation. Online Orientation can be completed at your own pace but is recommended to be completed before the first day of classes.

- Receive a swag bag at registration.
- Meet faculty and staff who will help you stay strong at CCBC!
- Tour the CCBC Campus and learn about the services & resources available.
- Make sure you are connected to CCBC Technology
- Have a chance to win prizes and scholarships!
