RAVE Emergency Alert System
Stay safe and informed with RAVE Emergency Alert System.
The College’s emergency notification system is the primary means of communicating campus closings, delays, or emergencies to students and employees.
Your college email is automatically enrolled, but if you want to receive notifications on your personal email or as a text or voice message on your phone, login to MyCCBC under the Students tab and add that contact info. Look for the link on the left that says, “RAVE Emergency Alerts”.
If experience any problems, email helpdesk@ccbc.edu or call at 724-480-3399.
Closings and cancellations are also reported to local TV and radio stations, recorded on the college phone system, and posted to Facebook.
Class cancellations are based upon logical divisions between morning, afternoon, and evening classes. Morning classes begin before noon; afternoon classes begin after noon; and evening classes begin after 5 p.m. Since weather and emergency situations are unpredictable, the College President (or designated representative) will strive to reach a decision on the College’s status by the following times:
- 5 a.m. for morning classes and all-day cancellations
- 10 a.m. for afternoon classes
- 3 p.m. for evening classes
