Read more about your choices below and select the option that’s right for you.
High School Academies
CCBC’s five High School Academies are providing Western Pennsylvania’s young people with high-impact educational experiences to prepare them for careers that address priority workforce needs of the region. Students who devote their junior and senior year to study one of these programs will have the opportunity to graduate high school having completed up to one year of college credits toward CCBC’s associate degree programs, or they can transfer the credits to other college and universities. For more information please go to our High School Academy website.Â
College in High SchoolÂ
Community College of Beaver County offers students the opportunity to earn college credit in their high school during their regular school day.  Special college courses are taught by the high school teachers, in the high school classrooms, and all at a fraction of the cost. Students can experience college-level work and earn credits toward a degree before they even graduate from high school. Check with your school counselor to see if your school partners with CCBC.Â

Dual Enrollment
High school students who have completed their freshmen year in high school and who are approved by their local school district to participate in approved dual enrollment courses will be allowed to enroll at Community College of Beaver County as a Dual Enrollment student. Individuals accepted under this status may enroll for no more than two courses per semester, will not be eligible for financial aid benefits, and cannot enroll in developmental courses. They will work with their school counselor and our dual enrollment team to decide which specific college courses would be the best fit for them.Â
