Do you want to be a Veterinary Technician? Our program prepares students for a variety of jobs in the Veterinary Technician field. The curriculum covers a variety of animal anatomies & procedures; large and small, and the practical skills necessary to provide safe and competent care to the animals we love.
What Will You Learn
Through a blend of classroom and hands-on clinical experiences, the student is educated in the care and handling of animals in addition to critical thinking and communication. Experience and curriculum will prepare you for a wide range of roles as a Veterinary Technician.
Careers in Veterinary Technology
Careers as a Veterinary Technician include: Veterinary Surgical Technician, Marine Veterinary Technician, Animal Nutrition Technician, Shelter Medicine, Wildlife Rehabilitator and Researcher, Zoological Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Pharmaceuticals, and Animal Behavior.
Partnership
Students who successfully complete a Veterinary Assistant program may be eligible to obtain up to 10 credits towards the CCBC Veterinary Technician Program.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Official High School transcript with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Official college transcript(s) if applicable with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Veterinary Experience Verification Form
Mission Statement
In accordance with the mission of Community College of Beaver County, the mission of the Veterinary Technology Program is to prepare individuals with knowledge and skills to succeed on the national certification examination and to acquire meaningful employment in Veterinary medicine. The program is committed to serving students and meeting the needs of the quickly growing veterinary field within the region through excellent academic instruction and experiential learning.
Veterinary Technology Accreditation Status
Community College of Beaver County’s Veterinary Technology Program is accredited by the AVMA CVTEA as a program for educating veterinary technicians.
