Titan Graduates Finish Stronger
Monaca, PA – Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) hosted hundreds of graduates and their families for the 56th annual commencement ceremony Thursday, May 8, at 6 p.m. at the Dome where the campus and community came together to celebrate the joy in the journey each student traveled to reach their goals.
Among the graduates were mother-daughter nurses, already employed police officers, pilots and process operators, a Cornell-bound transfer student, a student from Scotland who will put his cybersecurity skills to work globally, and current CCBC employees.
CCBC’s 2025 commencement incorporated many traditional ceremonial elements, including Pomp and Circumstance (arr. James D. Ployhat), the national anthem, formal remarks from CCBC President Dr. Roger W. Davis, and the reading of each graduate’s name for the conferring of associate degrees for CCBC’s four academic schools – Aviation Sciences, Health Sciences, Industrial Technology, and Transfer Studies like Business, Education, Criminal Justice, Liberal Arts, and STEM.
“We are thrilled to honor the CCBC Class of 2025 and all they’ve accomplished on their pathway to success,” said Dr. Roger W. Davis, CCBC president. “Graduation is a significant milestone, and we will watch with Titan pride to see the great things they will achieve as they start careers or continue their studies.”
The commencement ceremony featured remarks from two of CCBC’s 2025 graduates, Austyne Mann and Maya Marshall. Both were recently named to the All-Pennsylvania Academic Team. Mann and Marshall, who received these accolades based on their academic achievements, leadership, and engagement in college and community service, will receive scholarships for two years of tuition at any Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) institution.
