WACTC location will increase access, collaboration, and offerings
Canonsburg, PA – Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) is excited to share an important update about its presence in Washington County. Beginning June 1, the CCBC Washington County College Center will relocate from its current site at Intermediate Unit 1 in McMurray to the Western Area Career & Technology Center (WACTC) in Canonsburg.
“We are invested in this community and want our presence to grow,” stated President Roger W. Davis. “That means exploring ways to expand access and strengthen the programs and services we offer so that all students are prepared for success in college and careers.”
The new location will allow CCBC to:
- Enhance collaboration with WACTC’s career and technical programs.
- Offer expanded dual enrollment and early college opportunities for high school students.
- Launch an associate degree Nursing program onsite.
- Provide improved facilities and resources for both academic and workforce development courses.
“We value our strong partnerships with the school districts and organizations in Washington, Greene, and Fayette Counties, are excited about this move, and look forward to all the possibilities to come,” said Vice President of Student Affairs Angela Hamilton.
Later this summer, CCBC will host a grand opening celebration at the Washington County College Center’s new location, and classes for the Fall 2026 semester will start on August 24.
