Financial Aid
One of the biggest challenges facing potential college students and their parents is how to apply for and receive financial aid to help supplement higher education costs. CCBC encourages all of our students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.studentaid.gov. to determine eligibility for grants and other aid.
CCBC’s school code is 006807.
Meet with Financial Aid
Our Financial Aid Office is committed to guiding you through the process of understanding how to pay for your education here at CCBC. Please review the Financial Aid Guide for more information.
Applying For Aid
Before you can attend college, you have to figure out how to pay for it. Don’t worry! CCBC offers higher education at a realistic cost, and we have people right here who can help you explore your aid options, like grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study.
Step-by-Step Guide
The following will help you easily navigate the process of applying for and receiving aid:
- Start by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Make sure to create an account for the student and at least one parent of a dependent student and use our federal school code 006807.
- Complete any additional documents requested through the Financial Aid Portal.
- Once your financial aid is complete, you will receive a notification to view your awards on the Financial Aid Portal.
- Consider applying for CCBC Foundation scholarships and searching for other scholarships for which you qualify.
Loans
If you need them, loans are available through the Federal Direct Loan Program. Be sure to complete the loan request form, the Master Promissory Note (MPN), and Entrance Counseling online at www.studentaid.gov.
Applying for Aid for Summer
If you would like to apply for a loan for the summer semester, you will need to complete the Summer Loan Request form. Please be aware that the summer is part of the current academic year, and if you have used your maximum loan eligibility for the year, you may not have any loan eligibility for the summer. Summer Pell grants will be put in place if you are eligible once you register for the summer term.
Pro Tips
- You can estimate your eligibility for aid by using the Net Price Calculator.
- Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) will determine your PA state grant award. For additional information on the PA State grant, or to create an account and check your status, visit www.pheaa.org.
If you are a student receiving military or veteran education benefits, please refer to our Aid for Veterans page.
