Two CCBC Students Named to All-Pennsylvania Academic Team

Monaca, PA — The Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges (PACCC) has recognized two Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) students as members of the prestigious All-Pennsylvania Academic Team, honoring their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service.

The All-Pennsylvania Academic Team recognizes outstanding community college students across the Commonwealth who excel in both transfer and workforce pathways. Transfer students must complete at least 36 credits and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, while workforce students must complete a minimum of 12 college-level credits with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

CCBC students Sarah Windsheimer of Hookstown and Cristiana Schaefer of Industry were selected for this honor based on their academic achievement and campus involvement.

Windsheimer, a third-year education major, began her college journey through CCBC’s High School Academies program. She is an active member of Phi Theta Kappa’s Beta Alpha Upsilon chapter, participates in the college’s Honors Program, and has been named to the President’s List. Windsheimer has also been recognized for her volunteerism, service, and leadership, and was recently hired as a para substitute at her high school alma mater. Following graduation, she plans to attend Slippery Rock University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in education and become a PreK–4 teacher.

Schaefer, a second-year communication/media arts major, serves as public relations officer for Phi Theta Kappa’s Beta Alpha Upsilon chapter and treasurer of PRISM. She is actively involved in campus and community events and has earned recognition for her academic performance and service, including placement on the President’s List. After graduating from CCBC, she plans to attend Slippery Rock University with the goal of becoming a public health infection preventionist.

In Pennsylvania, eligible All-Pennsylvania Transfer Team members receive up to two years of tuition at Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) universities.

The All-Pennsylvania Academic Team is supported by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the American Association of Community Colleges, Cengage, and the Coca-Cola Foundation.
