CCBC is proud to announce that the college is the recipient of not one but two Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants totaling $1.2 million. These grants will elevate our nationally recognized James M. Johnson School of Aviation Sciences and sustain an iconic local landmark – the Dome.
The first grant, in the amount of $750K, will fund additional plans as part the recently announced Aviation Sciences Center and Beaver County Airport Authority renovation, including construction of a new air traffic control tower.
The second $450K award will go towards Dome upgrades and enhancements for both campus and community use.
“On behalf of our students, Board of Trustees, and employees, I give immense gratitude to Governor Shapiro, the entire state delegation, and all members of our Beaver County legislative delegation for making these projects possible,” stated President Davis. “We are also so thankful for help from State Representative and CCBC alum Rob Matzie in securing these grants. This is a strong foundation for revitalization, reforming, and reinvesting in the future of two of CCBC’s most well-known and long-standing programs and places.”
