Program Information
The cloud security micro-credential provides a broad overview of standard cloud services, infrastructure, storage, networking, and maintenance, with an emphasis on cloud security. Completion of this program will help students prepare for industry certifications such as Network+, Security+, Cloud+, and the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK).

- Demonstrate knowledge of cloud security threats and best practices for securing cloud infrastructure.

Cloud Computing
This course provides a comprehensive introduction of standard cloud concepts and capabilities across the various cloud service models and popular cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Areas of study will include cloud infrastructure, migration, storage, automation, and maintenance. Course content is mapped to CompTIA Cloud+ certification exam objectives. 3-0-3

Cloud Security
The course will describe the Cloud security architecture and explore the guiding security design principles, design patterns, industry standards, applied technologies and addressing regulatory compliance requirements critical to design, implement, deliver and manage secure cloud based services. The course addresses identifying and mitigating risks, protection and isolation of physical & logical infrastructures including compute, network and storage, end-to-end identity management & access control and complying with industry and regulatory mandates. The course will leverage cloud computing security guidelines set forth by ISO, NIST, ENISA and Cloud Security Alliance (CSA). 3-0-3
