The Program
Do you want to inspire learning? Do you desire to empower lives through a career in teaching?
Enroll in the Education Academy to become a future educator. Through the Academy, high school students in grades 11 and 12 at participating school districts have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in diverse educational settings and learn how to prepare developmentally appropriate lessons and learning environments. As an Education Academy student, you will have the opportunity to earn up to 29 college credits while still working towards your high school diploma.
We are currently offering the Education Academy courses in a flexible model. Students can choose to either attend in person at a specified location or attend class online live each day from school or home. Our in-person site is as follows:
CCBC Main Campus- 1 Campus Drive, Monaca, PA 15061
Students in the Education Academy will:
- Prepare students to become a future educator
- Learn from experienced college faculty members
- Complete all of the coursework and receive a certificate, or continue your studies toward an associate degree in Education
- Get career-ready for one of the most in-demand job fields in our region and nationwide

REQUIREMENTS
- Student may enroll during their junior or senior year
- Minimum 2.5 high school GPA
- Recommendation from principal or school counselor
- Exhibit good attendance and conduct
